The idea for Early Bird Cleaning started in 2015 while we were sitting around the dining room table enjoying a meal with family and friends in Whistler, B.C.

One friend mentioned how they were having some difficulty with their household cleaners’ professionalism. The next guest agreed, but their issue was consistency. The next said they hadn’t hired cleaners too often but when they did they had been disappointed in the quality of the work.

That evening when we went home we got to talking and reminiscing about our cleaning days (which is actually how we met) and how much we truly enjoyed the work. And then it clicked! We could do this, and not just the interior cleaning, the exteriors too! We would never let the customer down! Early Bird Cleaning was born. Over the next few months we transitioned out of our jobs in management, started our new life as entrepreneurs and welcomed our first little human into the world. We now have two kids and absolutely love living in the Comox Valley.

Luke now operates the cleaning side solely, while Heidi does bookkeeping and a stay at home mum for the time being.
